Frequently Asked Questions

  • $150 per 50-minute session.

I also offer a sliding scale rate at $85-130 per session. Please inquire for availability!

  • I do! I am in-network with these carriers:

    • Premera

    • Lifewise

    • Anthem

    • Aetna

    • Some BlueCross Blue Shield plans

Reach out and I’ll gladly run a benefits check for you. The cost you are responsible for will depend on your specific plan.

If you’re insurance is not on this list, you may want to check and see if you have out-of-network benefits, where a portion of the cost may be reimbursed by your insurance.

  • A few things:

    • Therapy will feel a little awkward initially, just like any new relationship. We’ll talk, laugh, and start cultivating a safe space. This takes time!

    • The first few sessions will include quite a bit of information gathering to get an idea of the whole picture.

    • Sessions can focus on skill-building, regulating your emotions, processing emotions, or just having a space to be seen and heard.

  • My personality is very evident in who I am as a therapist. I am warm, a little silly, very expressive, and deeply caring of those in my life, including my clients.

I offer compassion, humor, gentle accountability, and challenge when it feels appropriate. My biggest priority as a therapist is making sure you feel comfortable, while empowering you to face hardship with courage!

  • It depends on what you’re struggling with and the goals we set together. I generally see clients long-term (at least a year, usually longer), as my clients concerns are often deeply rooted.

Think of it this way: If you have a cut on your finger, it will heal somewhat quickly. If you have a major bodily injury, it will take significantly longer. Emotional healing does not translate perfectly to this, but it’s one way to think of it.

  • If you feel safe and comfortable with your therapist, your symptoms have improved, and you feel more aware and accepting of your mind and body, I’d say it’s working. This will vary person to person.

I frequently check in with my clients to see how they’re feeling, if I missed something, or if we need to change our approach. I always encourage transparency. Nobody is perfect!
