Areas of Focus
Therapy for
Anxiety
Anxiety can manifest in many ways, a few being racing thoughts, overthinking, and feeling on edge. Physically, it may show up as difficulty sleeping, grinding your teeth, stomach upset, and more.
Anxiety is a common human experience, but when it begins to affect your daily functioning, it can hinder you from living your life as fully as you might want to.
In session, we’ll identify your triggers, understand the role of anxiety, and learn skills to ground and manage overwhelming emotions.
Therapy for
Identity & Self-Esteem
Figuring out who you are outside of what’s expected can feel messy and exhausting, particularly if you are in a period of transition in your life (out of school and into the world, becoming a parent, losing someone), or if you’re navigating multiple identities.
We’ll explore and identify what matters to you, and actions you can take to live into your values. We’ll learn how to set loving boundaries with yourself and with others, and how to build compassion rather than criticism.
Therapy for
Family & Relationship Concerns
Our ability to trust others, be vulnerable, communicate, and give and receive care are all impacted by how we experienced safety and love in our childhood environments.
If you’re having some difficulty in your family dynamics or in your platonic and/or intimate relationships, it’s alright—you’re human. We all have such unique experiences, and will inevitably bump up against others who don’t quite show up in the same ways we do. We’ll explore what’s causing this tension and develop skills to build relationships more aligned with your values.
Therapy for
Life Transitions
Life is full of transitions. Some we anticipate, some we don’t. Regardless, life transitions can contribute to all of the other concerns listed here.
You might be wrapping up college, starting a new job, struggling to find work, preparing to have a baby, adjusting to being a new parent, losing someone close to you, preparing for a big move, ending or beginning a relationship, preparing for retirement, and so much more. Some of these transitions may be harder than others. We’ll talk about ways to manage the feelings that come with these experiences, and how to build emotional resilience for when the next transition inevitably arrives.
Therapy for
Grief & Loss
Loss can feel overwhelming and confusing. There is no map for it.
We may grieve who we once were, someone/something we lost, or are preparing to lose. These emotions come with many transitions in life, and they can be incredibly difficult to manage. Grief has no timeline, no matter what society likes to tell us.
We’ll make space to process your emotions, and practice skills to soothe and tend to your wounded parts. We’ll honor what’s been lost, and gradually find ways to move forward.
Therapy for
BIPOC
As a 1.5-generation Filipino-American, I have lived experience navigating cultural and social expectations, intergenerational dynamics, identity, and systemic racism.
You don’t have to translate or minimize your experience here.
I offer a warm, affirming space to explore and process the impacts of living within oppressive systems. We’ll honor the intersections of your identity and find ways to reconnect with joy and meaning.
